Steps2College©, a cornerstone program of Rice Education Consulting, provides an in-depth explanation of the college
process and its requirements in a tangible and easy-to
understand process.
The mission of the Steps2College©
program is to ensure that
all students who have the desire
to attend college are equipped with the skills and information necessary to be accepted into college and flourish during
their studies.
Steps2College© educates students and their parent(s) with:
- An Explanation of the essentials students need to be considered and accepted into the college of their choice.
- A Breakdown of the college process including how to research institutions,
Successfully completing the application process, how to identify potential career
tracks and an overview of standardized tests and
helpful strategies for success.
- Goal Mapping to help students create a path to college
and beyond that allows them to reach their full potential
by building on their accomplishments and ensuring they
are creating a “winning” portfolio of strong academic achievement, community service and a good balance of extra-curricular activities (by grade level).
- Training on business and professional etiquette
necessary for college such as personal presentation, writing a strong essay, resume building and interviewing skills.
- Access to Testimonials that will give students first-hand knowledge on getting the most out of the college experience from college graduates and Resources such
as how to find and apply for scholarships and how to finance college.
